Yaay! I finsihed my first big project, and I'm super proud of it! My nexy one will (hopefully!) be a coupley type thing.
Anyway, here is the process i went through to make this spectacular beauty: 1. Sketched out body pose in pencil on white printer paper 2. Added clothing, hair and facial features 3. Used tracing paper to go over it in a regular black pen 4. Scaned it into computor 5. Colored in the base colored 6. Added shades and textures 7. Created background in seperate document 8. Put two and two together, and... 9. Voici! We are done!
I love the pirate girls hair and outfit on this. I'm esspecially proud of the coat, for some reason. I was super happy when I found the texture for it. I also really like the colors and how it dosen't really match, but it works anyway (in my opinion). What I DON'T like are the hands. -shudder- Aren't they hidious? And and top of that they took forever. I hate drawing hands with a passion, and normally I'll just draw nub-like things, but i felt like giving the hands a chance. :/ Lot of good that did me.
Anyway, I'm just excited for this turnout. Full-view it PLEASE!
P.S. That is a bottle of rum in her hand, hence the title. It was originally going to be a sword, but it looked strange because it was so tall.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
